Student Event Coordinator
We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join the Student Communities and Development Team, here at Hallam Students' Union. Here at the Union, we provide excellent services, opportunities, and facilities for its diverse membership of over 35,000 students. With students at the very heart of all we do, the Students' Union exists to represent students' academic interests, help them to look after their wellbeing and ensure we give our students the edge.
Purpose of the job:
Within this role you will be responsible for the design, management and evaluation of our current Give It A Go programme offering inclusive, safe events and trips which reflect Sheffield Hallam Students' Union, and the interests/needs of the Hallam student community. It is essential for the successful candidate to have experience of developing partnerships and collaborations with external partners, to create a vibrant programme of social activity and generate a sense of belonging amongst the Sheffield Hallam student community.
You will be self-motivated, efficient, able to work on your own initiative and able to prioritise your workload, whilst also assisting the Manager in the delivery of operational plans and related targets. You will be creative in your thinking and confident in suggesting service improvements. You'll be a strong communicator with a proven record of collaboration and partnership work demonstrating strong negotiation skills. It is also essential that you are aware of current trends amongst students and the social media platforms they are currently utilising.
